Whether
you choose a light colour scheme or bold colours for a dramatic
effect, your hall will need a darker, hardwearing carpet because
of the amount of traffic and the fact that children and pets
may be dashing in and out. A patterned carpet will also help
conceal any minor stains or soiling from shoes.
Your
hall should be welcoming, so don't be afraid to experiment
with warm colours such as red or orange.
You
might want to consider a carpet with a border to highlight
an area or enliven the hallway and stairs.
